Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada, is an actor best known for playing Bo on the Showcase series Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk were both academics. Ilkay was also a director, producer and playwright. Silk is the Director of Drama for St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna is able to recall the earliest moments of her existence, such as attending rehearsals and watching of shows. Silk was a part of a variety of commercials while she was young. In 1997, she graduated with a bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University. The early stage work she did included at the very least two productions for Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk relocated from Toronto in November 1999, to Los Angeles California to pursue her acting career. Seth Cooperman met Silk at the Actors Workshop held in Los Angeles, in 2007. The couple was married civilly in December 2009. They renewed their vows on on April 10, 2011 in Fredericton with the tradition of a Jewish wedding ceremony after Silk made the decision to convert to Judaism. Silk gave birth to the son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, her second child was born the 13th of May, 2016. Silk's television work includes her role in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland for which she won the Gemini Awards nod in 2009. The Canadian series Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character from the succubus. Silk was pregnant while filming of the third season finale episode and broke the news to the fans in the Showcase preview of the Season Three special on January 6 2013. Silk tweeted on June 20, 2013 to announce that she's ready to go back to working. The 4th of June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially revealed the launch of production for the fourth season. The character she played Bo together with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender on Lost Girl was named one of the most popular TV Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top Television Couple in the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk, as a result its prominence on social media has earned it a large online following.
