Rene Marie Russo is an American film actress and a former supermodel. Apart from her beautiful elegance, her continued successes in the competitive film industry proves her skills as an actor. She began modeling during the 1970s. Soon, she became one of the best models. From the 80s onwards, she attended acting classes, and was a theater student before performing on the stages in Los Angeles. In 1987, Russo portrayed Eden Kendell on ABC's show Sable. Her debut film, Major League was released two years later. Russo played Tom Berengers 'love interest. Initially skeptical about her capability as an actress, the reviewers were enthralled because of her tenacity. Her praise was for her role of Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak and also in Outbreak, where she competed with Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. However by her own admission she has never been passionate with acting. After a prolonged break, she self-imposed the role in 2005. Her comeback was a part in Thor. Her husband's Oscar-winning movie Nightcrawler was another of her performances. The Intern was her first funny and lighthearted film. The actress went on to appear in Just Getting Started and other comedies.
Rose Namajunas, one of the most well-known female UFC athletes, is an accomplished athlete. She started her career with amateur fights, in which she fought for a variety of regional competitions. Then, she signed with Invicta Fighting Championships before joining Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC). The success she has achieved both inside and outside in the Octagon has turned her into a household brand since she joined the UFC. Namajunas was born on June 29, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigrants family. Growing up, Rose was involved in sports such as basketball and kickboxing. Invicta Fighting Championships provided her with her professional debut at 18 when she submitted two competitors. This caught the attention to Dana White who signed her to join UFC the strawweight division on December 14, 2014, when she was just twenty-two years of age. Rose's career has seen both lows and highs, yet she is always able to come out of it in the top position. Rose took on Carla Esparza on April 15 of 2015 to win the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose beat Esparza with a technical knockout in just under 3 minutes the Round One. Rose not only got the title, but also was recognized as Fighter Of The Night. Rose has also created MMA historical with her fight as she became the first woman to challenge for a champion title in an organization that is a major one. Namajunas then went on to win several other fights. She also beat Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, winning the Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
